2. Application

  • GPA: above 3.0 out of 4.5 (If the grading scale in your home university is different from ours, you are required to give us the converting criteria.)

  • Self-introduction
  • Academic Transcript (in English)
  • Copy of passport showing photograph, full name, and passport number (Please make sure it has at least 6 months remaining after your study period ends.)
  • Language proficiency Certificate or Recommendation letter

  • Bank statement (one semester-KRW4,500,000, two semester-KRW9,000,000)

Course selection limitations or suggestions Most courses taught in English are from Business / Management, International Studies, Politics, Communications and Korean Studies and Cyber Security/Digital Forensics & Law. There are limited Media Studies classes and English Literature classes
Language class availability (non-English) If yes, cost of language course? One Basic Korean Language course (3 credit)
Intensive Beginning Korean (6 Credit)
Intensive Intermediate Korean (6 Credit)
are offered each semester for exchange students for free.
Minimum/maximum course load per semester
  • Minimum = 12 credits (about 4 courses)
  • Maximum = 18 credits (about 6 courses)

4. Support

Scholarships available to exchange students HID (Hallym International Dormitory) scholarship;
  • 300,000-600,000 KRW per semester & dormitory fees are waived (if selected to tutor).
  • Students with strong English or Chinese proficiency may apply.
  • Roughly 4 hours of tutoring per week is expected.
