About the department
Sociology is the study that students try to understand basic social relationships among men scientifically. Its subjects of study are general characteristics of human society including individual behaviors, the constitution of groups, and values and cultural creation. Sociology can largely be divided into three research fields of social order, social change, and the research methodology. However its active regions are very wide as it is the study that provides the basic concepts for understanding politics, economy, laws, culture, psychology, and all other academic areas.
Prospects and career
Many students enter the academic world, the press, and the research institutes. However, their active entry into government organizations and social organizations have recently been done as the research fields of sociology including policy studies necessary for solving studies on microscopic acts and interaction or social problems and developing society.
